17th PSSST Annual Conference and Scientific Meeting
ABOUT THE VENUE
The Aklan State University (ASU) is one of the institutions of learning in Western Visayas. It started as the Banga Intermediate School in 1917. Then it became a farm school a year after. It was named the Banga Rural High School in 1928 then converted to Aklan Agricultural College (AAC) in 1963. The institution gained a university status in 2001. It’s main campus is located in Banga, Aklan. The university focuses in the field of agriculture, fishery, arts and sciences, engineering and technology, and education. Banga is a third class municipality in Aklan. It is the home of the religious sanctuary of Man-duyog Hill. Catholic devotees conduct their annual pilgrim-age on this hill during Good Friday. Attending the 17th PSSST annual meet-ing and scientific conference will give participants time to see and enjoy the beauty of nature that Aklan province has to offer such as the world class beaches in the island of Boracay, the captivating Pangihan Cave in Malay, and the mystical lure of the 7 basins of Jawili Falls in Tangalan.
